Digital Arts is an online and printed publication for Digital Creatives. Here is a selection of print and digital work from my role as Art Editor (Above: Digital Arts cover. Illustration: Anthony Neil Dart.)
The brief was to improve the old Digital Arts website. A neglected and cluttered text-heavy brown and beige website in desperate need of some TLC. Priorities included redesigning the Nav, optimising the user experience and maximising the two business metric; site visits, and ad cadence.
The navigation was consolidated into one, a grid was introduced, the content allocated into a UX friendly position, with the introduction of strategically placed ad positions.
We maximsied ad cadence in tutorial sections where conversions and durations were strongest.
Digital Arts review pages needed humanising and a personal touch.
We introduced photography and white space.
